Lakshadweep has its own airport and can be reached through flights from Kochi. There are no more flights from Goa to Lakshadweep.
There is no road connectivity to Lakshadweep.

About Lakshadweep

Lakshadweep in Sanskrit means thousand groups of islands. It is one amongst the gorgeous locations for your holidays. The most sensational feature is that this territory is in the middle of Arabian Sea. You should visit Lakshadweep for its submerged banks, atolls, and reefs.

The best season to visit Lakshadweep is between December and May because it is much cooler. But if you wish to enjoy the rains, you should visit in October or November. If you have made up your mind to visit Lakshadweep, you need a special permit.

Places to visit in Lakshadweep

On your way to Lakshadweep make sure you visit the following tourist locations:

Firstly, the Kadmat Island, it is well – known tourist destination. It has huge lagoon one side, which is to the west of the island.

The next location you should visit is the Kavaratti Island. It is a very developed island. Also it is known to be administrative capital of the Lakshadweep Island. There are a lot of mosques here. The most beautifully built is Ujra mosque.

You should then visit Kalpeni. To the south of Androth this is located. You would weave your most enchanting memories in this extensively shallow lagoon. It is celebrated for its rich marine life and coral wealth it possesses.

Bangaram is the next tourist destination one should not miss. If you want to treat your feet with the smooth white sands and gift your sight with palm groves, Bangaram is the place. You could actually see the sea change its color and kiss the beach.

Closer to Bangaram is Agatti Island. It is the gateway to Lakshadweep. Surplus in its reserves for fishes you would be fascinated by the hustle – bustle of the fishermen. This beach is recognized all over the world for its cleanliness and best swimming experiences. Many of the tourists come here to feel the adventurous rush of swimming in the ocean, scuba – diving and snorkeling.

There are lagoons which enhance the beauty of Agatti Island to greater heights. But if you are a serious water sport person, Agatti is the place you cannot miss. It awards you to do deep sea fishing or water skiing, sailing or even take leisurely boat rides.
